Dog Rehabilitation Case
After Alfie hurt his spine chasing a ball on April 17th, he had to be carried 200 yards home from the park. He was rushed off to the vet, who after examining him did not allay the initial fear, but referred him to a spinal specialist. It was an agonising overnight wait before he saw the specialist, and he was immediately hospitalised. Luckily after various tests his owner was told that he stood an 80% chance of making a recovery over time, and was given advice on how to aid this. As well as physiotherapy his owner was advised to take him swimming several times a week. After he came to Town Crier, he started using his back legs a little and then came on in leaps and bounds. After two months he runs back down the yard to greet you and is now taking walks to the park unaided. His owner would (and already has) recommended our establishment to anybody with a pet in similar circumstances. |
