ABOUT US.

The Yard was purchased by our landlord John Moffitt in November 2005, and was immediately handed over to me (Claire McCormick) to run. With over 30 years experience in all types of horses, from dressage, show jumping and eventing through to breeding, I soon saw the potential in running a top class livery yard with excellent facilities.

Out of the 31 stables on site, only 10 were usable when I took over. With leaking roofs and damaged walls, the yard required a total make over and work began straight away.

Once roofs, walls and new doors restored the stables, a rubber lining was then placed on the walls of the equine pool to make it extra safe and user friendly.

Our Plan was to slowly fill up with liveries, but there was nothing slow about filling the yard, by the January of 2006 were in full swing.

We pride ourselves on looking after your horse exactly how we would look after our own. My own retired Grand Prix stallion (my pride and joy) lives on the yard and all horses with us are cared for with the same attention to detail as I expect for him.

We take on vet referrals from various practices for rehabilitation and swimming them back to health. The yard also has a Solarium and Hot Wash facilities for this purpose and show preparation.

Town Crier only takes on full liveries and can offer flexible reliable staff with a wealth of knowledge and experience. We have all types of livery with us from the happy hacker to the serious B.S.J.A and British Dressage competitor. Liveries all get along with each other, with plenty of tea and coffee on the go in the tack room, adding a great social feel to the whole place.

Livery owners can get involved with all aspects of our horse breeding on the yard and are welcome to attend foaling and interact with all the new foals each year if they so wish.

Tuition is available from myself or from our visiting trainer Mr Alex Hargie who attends the yard every three weeks.
